FARMPOD

“Introducing students to sustainable urban agriculture
and encouraging them to hone new, rewarding skills”

In the very near future, The Flow Project will be bringing a FarmPod to the Plano East Senior High campus. Our organization’s FarmPod – an eco-friendly, aquaponic food production system that can generate 100+ lbs of produce a week – will enable students to provide low-cost, student-grown produce to on-campus programs and the community at large.

We plan to oversee collaboration between student farmers, the school’s culinary programs, and Future Farmers of America to provide farm-to-table lunches during the school year and discounted/donated produce to the community at large over the summer.

As they work to cultivate the FarmPod’s produce, student farmers will have the opportunity to work alongside Dallas County Master Gardeners to earn Junior Master Gardener certifications!
